MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - The northern group of forces continued the operation against Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region, 14 Ukrainian brigades were struck, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"Aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and artillery hit troops and hardware of two tank brigades, five mechanized brigades, and two air assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in addition to a marine brigade and four territorial defense brigades," the ministry said in a statement.
Two Ukrainian air assault brigades, a territorial defense brigade, a National Guard brigade, and two border units of the Ukrainian Border Guard Service were struck in the Kharkov sector, it said.
"The enemy lost up to 2,210 troops, nine tanks, including a German-made Leopard, 42 armored combat vehicles, including three U.S.-made Bradley, 52 trucks, and 16 artillery systems in the northern group of forces' zone of responsibility over the past week," it said.
