Russian Defense Ministry: Air defense downs 441 Ukrainian drones, Neptun missile over past week

MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Russian air defense has downed a Neptun guided missile, four HIMARS projectiles and 441 drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.

"Air defense has downed a Neptun long-range guided missile, four projectiles of a U.S.-made HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket system, and 441 fixed-wing drones," the ministry said.

In turn, the Russian Black Sea Fleet's marine aviation has destroyed eight unmanned surface vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the week, it said.

"Sixty-one Ukrainian soldiers surrendered on the contact line over the week," the ministry said.

"In all, 649 planes, 283 helicopters, 37,354 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 air defense missile systems, 19,685 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,497 multiple rocket launchers, 19,085 artillery systems and mortars, and 29,061 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation," it said.
