Union State security concept envisages mutual security obligations - Peskov

MINSK. Dec 6 (Interfax) - The security concept of the Russia-Belarus Union State Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko are planning to sign on Friday envisages mutual security obligations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Documents pertaining to security of Russia and Belarus are due to be signed at a meeting of the Union State's Supreme State Council on Friday, Peskov told the press.

"These are mutual security obligations. Perhaps, this is the highest level of alliance, including that in the provision of security and defense," Peskov told reporters in response to a question whether the document allows for the participation of Belarusian troops in the special military operation.

"Considering that it [the document] has yet to be signed, we traditionally do not discuss unsigned documents. That would be wrong. Once it is signed, we will ask for explaining it to you," Peskov said.
