MOSCOW. Dec 9 (Interfax) - Russia's Ufa diesel-electric submarine and Alatau salvage tug have called at the Chinese port of Qingdao, the Russian Pacific Fleet said on Monday.

"The Russian sailors will spend several days at the Chinese port for a series of meetings with representatives of the Navy of the People's Liberation Army of China, a visit to the PLA Naval Submarine Academy, and a sightseeing tour," the fleet press service said.

It said earlier on Monday that a Pacific Fleet unit comprising the Gromki, Rezki and Aldar Tsydenzhapov corvettes and the Pechenga tanker finalized their call at the Chinese port of Qingdao, which began on December 5. The ships departed from Qingdao for the Pacific Fleet's main base in Vladivostok.
