Russia in touch with forces controlling Syria - Peskov

MOSCOW. Dec 11 (Interfax) - Moscow remains in touch with those who control the situation in Syria, which is essential for providing security of the Russian bases and diplomatic mission there, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"We're following what's happening in Syria as closely as possible. You know that we certainly remain in touch with those who control the situation in Syria now," Peskov told journalists.

"This is necessary as there are our bases and our diplomatic mission there, and definitely, everything that concerns security of our facilities is extremely important and of high priority," he said.
