Some 40 Russian defense companies to display their products at Hanoi exhibition

MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - Around 40 Russian companies will take part in the Vietnam Defense Expo 2024 international arms and technology exhibition opening in Hanoi on Thursday, Russia's Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) said in a statement.

"The Russian display will cover an area of more than 700 square meters. Thirty-eight organizations will participate in it," the FSMTC said.

The organizer of the Russian exposition of military-purpose products is Rosonoronexport, it said. High Precision Systems, Almaz-Antey, Kalashninov Group, Remdizel and Shvabe are among the Russian companies taking part in the exhibition.

Russia's display will include full-scale samples of the Rubezh-ME coastal tactical missile system's self-propelled launcher, a Kh-35UE tactical anti-ship missile, a Taifun K-family vehicle, a Kamaz-53949 truck carrying a Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system, and a BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, the FSMTC said.

Orlan-10E reconnaissance drones, Orlan-30 drones with an optoelectronic payload and a laser designator rangefinder, as well as a set of devices to counteract radio-controlled airborne systems will be demonstrated in the unmanned aerial vehicle section. It said.

Russian companies also plan to present more than 800 military-purpose products as models and prototypes, including air force, naval and air defense hardware, small arms and electronic warfare stations, the FSMTC said.

The Vietnam Defense Expo 2024 in Hanoi is running on December 19-22.
