MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Russia's Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Vietnam's Deputy Minister of National Defense Hoang Xuan Chien have discussed bilateral military cooperation during the seventh round of the Russia-Vietnam Strategic Defense Dialogue in Hanoi on Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
"A widened exchange of opinions took place regarding the prospects of developing bilateral military cooperation in the spirit of an all-embracing strategic partnership. Most pressing issues of the international agenda were discussed, with an emphasis on the situation in the Asia Pacific region," the statement said.
Towards the end of the consultations both "sides agreed to grow bilateral contacts in the defense sphere, and outlined priority areas of interaction for 2025," it said.
