MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed 104 Ukrainian drones, over half of them outside the special military operation zone, in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
"Air defense has downed three projectiles of a U.S.-made HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket system and 104 fixed-wing drones, including 57 outside the special military operation zone," the ministry said.
Tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces and artillery of the Russian groups of forces hit airbase infrastructure, a fuel and lubricant depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and concentrations of Ukrainian troops and hardware in 148 areas, the ministry said.
"In all, 650 planes, 283 helicopters, 38,752 unmanned aerial vehicles, 590 air defense missile systems, 20,072 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,504 multiple rocket launchers, 20,058 artillery systems and mortars, and 29,603 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," it said.
