MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has not received any requests from the team of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to arrange his contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"No, no such requests have been received. However, on the other hand, for obvious reasons, it'd be better to wait for him [the new U.S. president] to be sworn into office first. If, after he takes office, the political will to resume contacts at the top level is still there, President Putin will only welcome it of course. He has repeatedly spoken of his readiness for dialogue and the need for this dialogue," Peskov said when asked by journalists whether there have been any requests from Trump's team for contacts with Putin.
