MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax) - Extra-regional forces' presence could destabilize the situation in the region, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said.
"Our supreme leader and all of us believe that all regional problems should be settled only through agreements between the region's countries. We think that the presence of extra-regional forces in our region could only worsen and destabilize the situation," Pezeshkian said at talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Friday.
Pezeshkian also said he is confident that cooperation between Iran and Russia "will shed light on all problems in our region."
