Tajik FM concerned about militants' migration to Afghanistan from Middle East

DUSHANBE. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Tajikistan is concerned about expanding operations of terrorist and extremist groups in Afghanistan and works to contain the threat, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin said.

"We cannot but be concerned about the migration of terrorist fighters, especially the so-called 'ideologists', to Afghanistan from the Middle East. In this context, our security services are taking all measures necessary to enhance the containment of this threat," Muhriddin said.

At the same time, Tajikistan supports all cooperation formats and efforts of the international community aimed to achieve accord in Afghan society, which is the key factor of stability, he said.
