MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - It would be premature to speak about a specific negotiating process on Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"We are saying that the deliveries must stop, that the conflict continuation is related to the ongoing deliveries. It is too early to speak about any specific negotiating process," Zakharova said at a press briefing on Friday in response to a question whether the end of arms deliveries to Ukraine could be a precondition for negotiations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin described the conceptual approach to the settlement at a meeting at the Russian Foreign Ministry in June 2024, she said.
"Our stance has been clearly defined. What the other side will come up with is a question for them. Our stance is determined from the angle of tasks and objectives of the special military operation and from the angle of settlement," Zakharova said.
"We have fundamental approaches. How exactly this happens, hypothetically, later, when it is formalized, let's comment when there is an appropriate reason for that," she said.
