MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed 88 Ukrainian drones and two HIMARS projectiles over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
"Air defense has downed two projectiles of a U.S.-made HIMARS high-mobility artillery rocket system and 88 fixed-wing drones," the ministry said in a statement.
Tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck airbase infrastructure, drone workshops and depots, and concentrations of Ukrainian troops and hardware in 139 areas, the statement said.
"In all, 656 planes, 283 helicopters, 45,174 unmanned aerial vehicles, 600 air defense missile systems, 21,966 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,523 multiple rocket launchers, 22,215 artillery systems and mortars, and 32,405 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," it said.
