MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - The command of Russia's northern group of forces has reported to President Vladimir Putin that the operation to clear the Kursk region of Ukrainian troops is entering the final stage, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"During his visit to a command post in the Kursk region, Putin listened to reports from the commander and the deputy commander of the northern group [of forces], who briefed the supreme commander-in-chief on the progress of the operation and said that the operation to liberate the Kursk region of the militants who intruded into it is entering its final stage," Peskov said.
