MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - Russia and the United States could hold contacts on Ukraine as soon as today, and Moscow is ready to discuss the initiatives proposed at the U.S.-Ukraine meeting in Jeddah, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"We will be ready to discuss the initiatives proposed there during our future contacts with the American side. I can also say that such contacts are possible as soon as today," Zakharova said at a press briefing on Thursday.
Russia "closely watched the meeting of U.S. and Ukrainian representatives in Jeddah on March 11," she said.
"We have familiarized ourselves with its statement, which contains various ideas. We have not received any official ideas on this score as of yet," Zakharova said.
