MOSCOW. March 19 (Interfax) - Russia's northern group of forces in the Belgorod sector hit Ukrainian troops near three communities of the Sumy region, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
"In the Belgorod sector, units of the northern group of forces struck troops of a heavy mechanized brigade, two air assault brigades and two assault regiments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Maryino, Petrushevka and Ugroyedy in the Sumy region," it said.
The Ukrainian army's losses in the hostilities are estimated at more than 70 troops, three tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, 11 armored fighting vehicles, three combat engineer vehicles, seven vehicles, and four artillery systems, it said.
