Russian warships arrive in India for int'l naval exercise

MOSCOW. March 26 (Interfax) - The Rezki and Aldar Tsydenzhapov corvettes and the Pechenga medium-sized sea tanker have arrived at the Indian port of Chennai for the Indra Navy 2025 Russian-Indian naval exercise, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"The sides will approve the exercise plan on the first days and will deploy to the sea for the joint training afterwards," the ministry said in a statement.

It was reported earlier that the Russian Pacific Fleet unit took part in the Comodo 2025 multilateral exercise in Indonesia, the Maritime Security Belt 2025 trilateral naval exercise organized by Iran, and the Arabian Monsoon exercise involving ships of the Pakistani Navy.
