MOSCOW. March 26 (Interfax) - The death of Channel One correspondent Anna Prokofyeva in the Belgorod region will be investigated on charges of a terrorist attack among others, Russian Investigative Committee spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko said.
"The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into this incident on the charges defined by Articles 205 and 144 of the Russian Criminal Code [terrorist attack and obstruction of lawful professional activity of a journalist]," Petrenko told journalists on Wednesday.
On March 26, "an explosion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' munition in the Belgorod region killed Channel One military correspondent Anna Prokofyeva," she said.
"The filming crew's cameraman sustained a heavy injury and is receiving medical assistance," Petrenko said.
"Investigators are establishing circumstances of the event and persons among Ukrainian troops responsible for this crime," she said.
