MOSCOW. March 28 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army lost more than 2,100 troops in the Russian northern group of forces' zone of operations in the Kursk, Belgorod and Kharkov sectors over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The enemy's losses in the northern group of forces' zone of responsibility over the past week include up to 2,190 troops, six tanks, 43 armored fighting vehicles, and 103 automobiles," the ministry said in a statement on Friday.
In addition, 45 artillery guns and five electronic warfare stations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were destroyed over the past week, it said.
Strikes were also delivered on four mechanized brigades, a drone brigade and an assault regiment of the Ukrainian army and three territorial defense brigades in the Kharkov and Belgorod sectors over the week, the ministry said.
"Combat aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery struck troops and military hardware of a tank brigade, two mechanized brigades and two air assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as a marine brigade and three territorial defense brigades," it said.
The ministry said earlier in the day that the northern group of forces had cleared the village of Gogolevka in the Kursk region of Ukrainian troops.
