NOVOSIBIRSK. March 28 (Interfax) - Russia needs to introduce visas for Central Asia, leader of A Just Russia - For Truth party and the party faction in the State Duma Sergei Mironov said at a meeting with regional party activists in Novosibirsk on Friday.
"The introduction of a visa system for Central Asian countries should be considered," Mironov said.
He said patents have not been effective, as many foreign citizens buy patents but have no intention to work, adding that foreign migrants could work in Russia in some cases but must not bring their families.
"They should come here, work and leave - without families," he said.
A bill on the liability of members of migrant families for crimes has been submitted to the State Duma, and a number of other bills have been adopted, including on allowing the police to deport foreigners without a court order, Mironov said.
