MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - The military service period for conscripts remains the same, 12 months, the Russian General Staff's deputy head of mobilization Vladimir Tsimlyansky said.
"Conscripts will start being sent to assembly points as planned from April 10, 2025. As before, the military service by conscription will last 12 months," Tsimlyansky told a briefing on Monday.
All conscripts will be sent to complete service to the permanent bases of military units and formations on Russian territory, he said.
"Conscripts doing military service will not be sent to military bases in the new Russian territories: the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, or to take part in missions of the special military operation," Tsimlyansky said.
