MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - Russia is generally committed to a serious search for ways of a long-term peaceful settlement in Ukraine, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"On the whole, we are committed to a serious search for ways of a long-term peaceful settlement," Peskov told reporters.
He recalled that the previous day the Russian president had clearly and unambiguously outlined Russia's position on resuming direct talks on Ukraine in Istanbul without any preconditions and suggested holding them in Turkey on May 15.
