Two hurt in Ukrainian drone attacks on Kherson region - governor

SEVASTOPOL. May 15 (Interfax) - Ukrainian drones attacked civilian facilities in the south of the Kherson region over the past 24 hours, injuring two local residents, the region's Governor Vladimir Saldo said.

"A drone struck an out-patient clinic in the Chongar village. The building burned down. Two civilians, salespeople from a fish market, were also injured in the strike on this village. One of them is currently in intensive care," Saldo said on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

In another incident, three drones crashed on the territory of a local elevator in Novoalexeyevka, he said. According to preliminary reports, their ammunition did not detonate. An unmanned aerial vehicle posing an explosion hazard was found at a railway station in Rykovo. A Defense Ministry engineer group has been sent to the site. A private house was also destroyed on Petrovsky Street in Rykovo. No one was injured. Two drones crashed near a gas station in Salkovo, damaging windows, the facade and a car parked nearby, Saldo said.

At least 30 drones were downed last night, he said.
