MINSK. May 21 (Interfax) - The Belarusian Defense Ministry and Russia's Uralvagonzavod company have signed contracts for the supply and maintenance of military-purpose products, the ministry press service said on Wednesday.
"Deputy Defense Minister for Armaments and Chief of Belarusian Armed Forces Armaments Maj. Gen. Andrei Fedin had a meeting with Uralvagonzavod General Director Alexander Potapov at the MILEX 2025 exhibition," the press service said in a statement.
"The work done in the last year led to the signing of mutually advantageous contracts for the supply, repair and maintenance of military-purpose products for the needs of the Armed Forces," the statement said.
Belarus is Uralvagonzavod's longtime strategic partner, it said.
The meeting addressed the new trends and developments in the sphere of armored vehicles, as well as the state and prospects of developing military-technical cooperation, the statement said.
