MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - Debris of a collapsed railway bridge has been removed from a road in the Kursk region, the press service for Moscow Railway said on Monday.
"Railway personnel have cleared up a road section in the Kursk region after a railway bridge collapse on the Ostapovo-Mikhailovsky Rudnik line. Now road workers can start repairing the pavement," the press service said.
More than a hundred workers, ten heavy vehicles, and two repair trains took part in the work.
A railway bridge collapsed in the Zheleznogorsk district of the Kursk region on Sunday while a freight train was crossing it. Part of the train fell down onto the road, one of the drivers suffered a leg injury, and the entire locomotive crew was taken to the hospital, acting Kursk region governor Alexander Khinshtein said.
