SIMFEROPOL. June 3 (Interfax) - Power supply disrupted by a Ukrainian attack last night is being restored in the Zaporozhye region, the region's governor Yevgeny Balitsky said on Tuesday.
"Some consumers in the southern part of the Zaporozhye region have been connected to the power grid. About 20% of all consumers already have electricity," Balitsky said on Telegram.
Power supply continues to be restored, and more consumers constantly get connected to the grid, he said.
Regional polyclinics suspended the provision of scheduled medical assistance, Balitsky said, adding that healthcare establishments are running on backup generators, and emergency aid is provided in full.
A Ukrainian attack disrupted power supply in the Zaporozhye region in the early hours of Tuesday. Balitsky said on Tuesday morning that more than 600,000 people in 457 populated localities were experiencing a blackout.
Drone strikes also cut power supply to over 227,000 people in the Kherson region in the early hours of Tuesday, the region's governor Vladimir Saldo said.
