KALININGRAD. June 6 (Interfax) - Russia is building a floating modular pumping station to solve all problems with water supply to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant if the latter reaches rated capacity, Rosatom head Alexei Likhachev said.
"Everyone is aware of the water supply problems caused by the Kakhovka dam destruction. For now, we are providing full safety with 11 additional wells and have started building a floating modular pumping station with an hourly capacity of up to 80,000 cubic meters to solve all water supply problems if the units reach rated capacity," Likhachev told the press after negotiations with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi.
