Over 1,300 drone operators trained in Belarus - Defense Ministry

MINSK. June 16 (Interfax) - Over 1,300 drone operators and other specialists have been trained for the Armed Forces and law enforcement and security agencies in Belarus, the Belarusian Defense Ministry's press service said.

"The 927th Drone Training and Operations Center is the key military unit training drone specialists, including operators, flight supervisors, engineers and technicians. [...] In 2022-2025, the 927th Center trained over 1,300 specialists for the Armed Forces and more than 170 specialists for law enforcement and security agencies," the press service said.

"The center is a full-cycle enterprise, which covers drone assembly, repairs, testing and operation. The center operates all types of unmanned aerial vehicles in possession by the Armed Forces," it said.

These include Supercam, Busel-10 and Berkut-3 reconnaissance drones, DJI Mavic 3, Autel EVO Max 4T, DJI Matrice 30T and Finn X8SE multirotor drones, attack drones and FPV drones, the press service said.

"The center's combat capabilities include aerial reconnaissance and attacks on ground targets," it said.

Chief of the Belarusian General Staff Maj. Gen. Pavel Muraveiko said on Friday that the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Forces had been established in the Belarusian Armed Forces.
