Moscow urges Israel, Iran to avoid actions threatening life, health of Russian citizens - Peskov

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said he is unaware of the decision to launch full evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran and Israel.

"I am unaware of the decision to begin full evacuation as of now," Peskov said in response to a related question.

"All relevant agencies are closely following the unfolding situation," he said.

"Contacts are being maintained with the conflicting sides through proper channels, and their attention is duly brought to the need to avoid actions that could threaten the lives or health of Russian citizens," Peskov said.

Some Russian citizens have been taken to Azerbaijan from Iran, thus allowing them to reach safe places, he said.
