MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Russia stays ready to broker the Israeli-Iranian settlement if necessary, and the proposals made by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the talks with U.S. President Donald Trump remain on the table, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Russia stays ready to offer mediation services if necessary. For instance, the proposals made by President Putin in his previous conversation with President Trump remain on the table, and Russia is still ready and willing. All of that can be done if necessary," Peskov told the press in response to a question whether Putin was planning any contacts for this week to mediate the settlement of the Israeli-Iranian conflict.
Putin had a series of important international phone calls, including with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and U.S. President Donald Trump, in recent days, Peskov said.
