MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is following the West's response to Israel's attacks on Iran's military leadership and strategic facilities, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"Certainly, we've paid attention and are continuing to pay attention to that. We see that the international community on the whole is divided in its assessment of the developments into a camp of those who have denounced the start of those developments and those who supported and tried to justify them," Peskov told journalists on Monday.
"We see this and certainly, this is a very good lesson for everyone," Peskov said when asked whether the Kremlin noticed that there had been no sanctions and no strong criticism of Israel's attacks on Iran's military leadership and strategic facilities.
Israel delivered massive strikes on Iran in the early hours of June 13 having declared the goal of putting an end to Tehran's nuclear program. Iran retaliated by striking Israeli territory. The parties continued to trade strikes on Saturday and Sunday.
