Trump does not rule out new anti-Russian sanctions

WASHINGTON. June 16 (Interfax) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he does not rule out new anti-Russian sanctions.

"It could happen," Trump told reporters on the sidelines of the G7 summit in reply to a question about new possible restrictions that could be imposed on Moscow.

Earlier in June, Trump said he had not yet decided whether to endorse a bill drafted by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (who is on Russia's list of terrorists and extremists) and Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal. At the same time, Trump said that he had the final say on sanctions.

It was reported earlier that Graham had prepared a bill that would impose primary and secondary sanctions on Russia, unless it agreed to a ceasefire. In particular, Graham is proposing 500% tariffs for countries buying Russian oil, gas, uranium, and other goods.
