MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with his Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto, to be paying an official visit to Russia, on Thursday, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.

"June 19 is the key day of the official visit of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. There will be full-scale negotiations," Ushakov told the press.

"At first, the presidents will meet in a narrow format and the most important and sensitive issues will be addressed. The negotiations will continue with delegations in the official breakfast format. A brief ceremony will follow to conclude bilateral documents. After that the leaders will make statements to the press," Ushakov said.

"The negotiations will address both further development of bilateral relations and the most pressing items on the global agenda," he said.

As to the bilateral documents due to be signed, Ushakov said it concerned the declaration of strategic partnership.

"This is a program document oriented towards the future. A number of interagency documents are also being prepared, they are due to be signed in the coming days and to be announced at the presidents' press briefing after the talks. The interagency agreements embrace a broad range of cooperation issues, including science, education, cooperation in shipbuilding, transport, information and communication technologies, and mass media. To our knowledge, four documents are being drafted and will obviously be signed," Ushakov said.

The Indonesian president's official visit will be timed to coincide with the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum due on June 18-21, 2025, he said.

He will take part in the forum's plenary session on June 20 and make a speech before participating in the Q&A session, Ushakov said.

This is Prabowo Subianto's first visit to Russia as the Indonesian president, Ushakov said. He visited Russia earlier as the defense minister and the president elect.
