Trump doesn't share his plans with Russia, but U.S. involvement in Israel-Iran conflict would mean significant escalation - Peskov (Part 2)

ST. PETERSBURG. June 19 (Interfax) - U.S. President Donald Trump has not shared his plans with Russia, but U.S. involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran would mean an additional sharp escalation for the entire region, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"We will be even more concerned [if the U.S. is more involved in the conflict between Iran and Israel]. As this will mean an additional significant escalation for the entire region," Peskov told reporters in reply to the relevant question.

When asked whether Trump shared his plans with Russia, Peskov said, "No, he didn't."

The possible U.S. involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran and bilateral relations between Moscow and Washington are "different tracks," Peskov said.
