CHISINAU. July 3 (Interfax) - Two-thirds of Moldovan citizens said they are against the country's joining NATO, according to a poll called Socio-Political Barometer - June 2025 conducted by the company IMAS.
According to the survey results, presented at a press conference on Thursday, 66% of the respondents would vote against Moldova's accession to NATO and 18% would vote for it at referendum on the country's accession to NATO. Sixteen percent of the respondents said they were undecided.
If a referendum on Moldova's accession to the EU was conducted, 43% of the respondents would vote for it and 41% would vote against it.
If a referendum on Moldova's accession to the Eurasian Union was conducted, 43% of the respondents would vote for it and 32% would vote against it.
If a referendum on Moldova's accession to Romania was conducted, 62% of the respondents would vote against it and 28% would vote for it. The other respondents are undecided or did not answer the questions.
The poll was conducted on June 17-28. It surveys 1,116 people.
