MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law a bill allowing stateless persons to serve in the Russian Armed Forces under contracts, information on the official legal information website says.
The law amends the federal law on military duty and military service, which gives stateless persons the right to sign contracts for military service in the Russian Armed Forces and military formations.
The initiative is aimed at expanding the range of persons who can become contract servicemen.
