Putin, Mirziyoyev discuss development of Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership in phone call

MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev have discussed the development of bilateral relations in a phone call, the Kremlin press service said on Tuesday.

"The parties discussed relevant aspects of continued development of Russian-Uzbek relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. Special significance was attached to implementing mutually beneficial joint projects in the energy, investment, and industrial production sectors, as well as expanding interregional, cultural and humanitarian ties," it said.

The presidents agreed to continue maintaining regular personal contacts, it said.
