Russia's Gelendzhik airport might reopen starting July 18 - source

KRASNODAR. July 9 (Interfax) - Gelendzhik Airport in Russia's Krasnodar Territory, which has been closed for security reasons since February 2022, might resume operations starting July 18, an industry source with knowledge of the situation told Interfax.

"It's true that the airport is resuming operations. The first flight is scheduled for July 18," the source said.

Interfax could not immediately obtain official comments from the airport's administration. It has also reached out for comments to the Russian Transport Ministry, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), and Aeroflot.
