Russia's Admiral Vladimirsky research vessel leaves Cuba

MOSCOW. July 9 (Interfax) - The Admiral Vladimirsky oceanographic research vessel has completed its unofficial call at the Cuban port of Havana, the Russian Baltic Fleet said.

"For the crew of the Admiral Vladimirsky oceanographic research vessel, the call at the Republic of Cuba was the third call at a foreign port during its oceanographic voyage," the fleet's press service said in a statement on Wednesday.

"In the waters of Cuban ports, the crew of the Baltic Fleet's Admiral Vladimirsky oceanographic research vessel carried out a number of hydrographic operations, which were based on the technical assignment given by the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces' National Service of Hydrography and Geodesy," the statement said.

The vessel has been on a routine oceanographic voyage since March 13, the press service said.
