MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met with First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko on Monday and proposed that she lead the government, Ukrainian media reported.
"We also discussed specific measures that could bolster Ukraine's economic potential, expand support programs for Ukrainians, and scale up our own weapon production. To this end, we begin transforming the executive branch system in Ukraine. I proposed that Yulia Sviridenko lead the Ukrainian government and considerably refresh its work. I expect the new government's action program to be submitted in the near future," media quoted Zelensky as saying on his social account.
Denis Shmygal has served as Ukrainian prime minister until present. No reports have been made yet as to whether any post has been proposed to him.
