YEREVAN, September 21 (AVN) -- A group of officers of the Russian Air Force Staff arrived in Armenia on Tuesday to inspect Russian Air Force Units stationed in this Trans-Caucasian republic.
The group, headed by Lieutenant-General Yuri Bondarev, deputy commander of the Russian Air Force, aims to inspect technical and logistics problems of Russian Air Force Group 426, deployed at the Erebuni airfield, and Military Base 102, Bondarev told the Military News Agency.
Russian officers will also attend festivities marking the eigth anniversary of Armenian independence. Pilots of Group 426 will demonstrate their flying skills at the military parade, Bondarev said.
