MAKHACHKALA, September 22 (AVN) -- The so-called Chechnya Defence Headquarters on Tuesday approved a proposal of warlords Shamil Basayev and Khattab to begin diversions and terrorist acts against federal troops and administration bodies in Dagestan, a sources in the Dagestan department of the Federal Security Service (FSB) told the Military News Agency.
According to him, several raiding groups left guerilla training camps on Tuesday and headed for the administrative border with Dagestan. However they have not penetrated into this North Caucasian autonomous republic, sources in the federal headquarters told the Agency.
Federals continue inflicting artilley and air strikes against spotted guerilla groups close to the Chechnya-Dagestan border and are mouning their forces in the Botlikh, Kasavyurt and Kizlyar districts.
