CHINESE SAILORS TO STUDY SHIP DESIGN AT RUSSIAN FRIGATE

KRONSHTADT, Leningrad Region, September 27 (AVN) -- The Nastoichevy frigate of the Russian Baltic Fleet has arrived from the port of Baltiysk in Russia's westernmost Kaliningrad region to host practice studies for Chinese sailors, who will soon form the crew of the Vazhny frigate, built in St. Petersburg for the Chinese navy.

During a month of practice, the officers will study ship design and get more familiar with their own future tasks. When the studies are over, they will take credits in these disciplines.

Vazhny, which will be renamed Mao the Great in China, is currently undergoing state tests.
