TBILISI, September 27 (AVN) -- The Georgian peacemaking platoon will leave for Kosovo on Tuesday to take part in operations of the Turkish peacekeeping contingent in this volatile Yugoslav region.
Servicemen who farm part of the Georgian platoon have undergone a month-long training in Turkey, where they paid a special attention to handling of U.S.-made arms and weapons which they will use in the Balkans. They will serve together with their comrades in arms from the Azerbaijani pecameaking platoon.
