MOSCOW, September 28 (AVN) -- Hostilities in Dagestan and Chechnya did not affect the training schedule of the Russian Air Force, a source in the Air Force combat training department told the Military News Agency on Tuesday.
According to him, the Air Force held over 20 large-scale staff and tactical exercises with field firings, as well as four large-scale operative and tactical exercises in cooperation with Aif Force Army 61 of the Chief Command since early August.
As much as 185 large-scale strategic and tactical exercises have been held in Air Force units this year, the spokesman said. About 80 percent of fighter wings and 50 percent of air defence missile regiments have held combat fires, he added.
