RUSSIAN EMERGENCY MINISTRY TO SEND HUMANITARIAN AID TO DAGESTAN

MOSCOW, September 29 (AVN) -- A motorcade of the Russian Emergency Ministry will leave for Dagestan on Friday morning to carry 170 tons of humanitarian aid to the republic's residents badly affected by the recent guerilla invasions from Chechnya, a ministry spokesman said on Wednesday.

The motorcade will consist of 44 KAMAZ trucks loaded with food, medicines, tents and warm clothes, which were provided by administrations of Vladimir, Kostroma, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Tambov regions, the spokesman told the Military News Agency.

It is to arrive in the Dagestani capital Makhachkala on October 5, he added.
