MOSCOW, October 27 (AVN) - Only four of 50 nuclear submarine cruisers of the Russian Navy are fully ready for service.
Two of them are at sea, the other two near the ports.
Vladimir Volkov, a member of a State Duma defence committee told the Military News Agency that the state has eargently find 750 million roubles (approximately 29 million U.S. dollars) to repair 24 nuclear submarine to provide at leas minimal level of State defence from the ocean directions.
Unfortunately the situation in the Air Forces is even worse, the deputy states. Under the nowadays financing Air Forces and Air Defence Forces in a year will have only 50 planes, 10 missile complexes and 10-15 radar stations, he added, quoting Anatoly Kornukov, the chief commander of the Russian Air Forces.
