MOSCOW, November 1 (AVN) -- China has begun production of the Krasnopol guided missile under the license from the Rosvooruzhenie company, Russia's largest arms dealer, the Jane's Defence Weekly magazine wrote in its latest issue.
China is planning by produce both 152-mm 9K25 Krasnopol missiles and 155-mm Krasnopol-M missiles which match the NATO standards, the magazine wrote. Both variants are equipped with high-explosive warheads and the 1D22 target finder. Its minimum range is 3,000 metres and maximum range 22,000 metres. These missiles will help improve combat performance of Chinese artillery systems, the magazine stressed.
A Rosvooruzhenie spokesman declined to comment on this report.
