MOSCOW, November 3 (AVN) - In accordance with the circumstantiate data on Tuesday evening (6.45 p.m. Moscow time) in Kubinka aerodrome (Moscow region) the MIG-29 attack plane piloted by lieutenant-colonel Avramenko crashed while landing.
Till the last moment the pilot tried to save his aircraft and decided to catapult three meters from the land, a source in the Air Force Staff told the Military News Agency.
Incident did not cause any victims or destruction.
A special commission has already started to investigate the case.
Lieutenant-colonel Avramenko is a pilot of the 1st class; he spent 960 hours in the air, 40 hours this year.
