SEVEROMORSK, November 3 (AVN) - A sailor Konstantin Sazonov killed in Chechnya in the battle of the marines with guerrillas' detachment is to be conferred a state award posthumously, a source in the Northern Fleet Staff told the Military News Agency.
Sazonov is the only killed from the marines paratroops attack battalion.
90 sailors returned to the garrison of the permanent dislocation on Tuesday. They are to quit the service.
100 marines replaced them in Chechnya.
The Northern Fleet battalion nowadays finishes to liquidate guerrillas near Gudermes; then it is to be sent to Grozny.
During the first Chechen campaign marines also served in the main directions, participating in taking president's palace.
